Background Story:

I never thought i would write a kavithai (sorry, கவிதை மாதிரியான ஒரு கிறுக்கல்..). I still remember, when i was 10 or 11 years old i had a habit of collecting the kavithai's published in newspapers. Then somehow i left it.
சரி, அதான் நிறுத்திய-ஆச்சுள்ள அப்புறம் எதுக்கு இப்ப திரும்ப வேற-னு கேக்குறீங்க.. புரியுது...

Two reasons:
1) Selvaguru- recently i read one of his kavithai... சரி நாமளும் "try" பண்ணலாம்-னு..
2) As part of IISc tamil pervai, a book is being released.. So they were asking for tamil kavithai's and stories for that.. Why not me? [ஆனா அதுக்கு இப்ப time முடிஞ்சுருச்சு.. ]

okey, lets come to the situation for the kavithai...

One fine morning.... [dont worry.. small story தான்.. :P]
I was on the way to my class in my cycle and there was a small narrow turning ahead, a girl [சரி... சரி...] was coming in the opposite way. Seeing me riding fast in the cycle, she tried to put break in her cycle, and [un]fortunately she got slipped from her cycle. I reduced my speed and went slowly over the side way.

இதான் situation.. For the sake of kavithai i have added some "extra" things..
அவ்வாறு சேர்க்கப்பட்டு இருக்கும் அனைத்து விசயங்களும் "கற்பனையே"... அதற்கும் என் நிஜ வாழ்வுக்கும் எவ்வித சம்பந்தமும் இல்லை...

So the கவிதை (கிறுக்கல்) follows now....
note: In between there will be some lines inside {}.. That is meant for a flashback [கவிதைக்கு எல்லாம் flashback-க்கு.. என்ன கொடுமை சரவணா இது.. :P Just yoU Please adjust ah..]

ஆயிரம் ஆயிரம் நபர்களை
சந்திக்கின்ற நம் வாழ்வில்...

சில நாட்கள்
சில நொடிகள்
சில நபர்கள் - மட்டும்
நிலைக்கின்றது நம் மனதில்...

இன்றைய நாள்,

எப்போதும் போல் கால தாமதமாய் எழுந்து
என்றென்றும் இருக்கும் காலை பரபரப்புடன்
எழுதுகோலை எடுக்க இன்றைக்கும் மறந்து
எத்தணித்தேன் வகுப்பறைக்கு புத்துணர்ச்சியுடன்
எட்டு அரை மணி அருகில் இருப்பதை அறிந்து
எகுறி குதித்து விரைந்தேன் மிதிவண்டியுடன்....

கல்லூரி வளாகத்தின் அடர்ந்த மரங்களில் இருந்த
காக்கை குருவிகளின் இலை வீடுகளின் ஊடே
கதிரவனின் ஒளி பரவி கொண்டிருக்க
காலைப்பனி மெல்ல மெல்ல விலகிக் கொண்டிருந்தது
கண்கொள்ளா இக்காட்சியை ரசித்தவாறு
கனவுகளுடன் வேகமெடுத்தேன் ஆளில்லா சாலையில்...

எதிரே வருபவர்கள் தெரியாத
குறுகிய வளைந்த முச்சந்தி அது.
எதிரே வந்த "பெயர் தெரியாத"
பரந்த மனம் படைத்த நீ
என் சைக்கிளின் வேகம் கண்டு

விழிகள் சந்தித்த அந்த கனப்பொழுது
நிலைக்கும் என்றென்றும் என் மனதில்...

விழிகள் தாண்டிய பேச்சு தொடர..
மீண்டும் உன்னை சந்திக்க ஏங்கும்...

கொஞ்சம் மொக்கை தான்... [ அது எனெக்கே தெரியுது.. I have added words to make it rhythmic at many places.. ]. When i told about this to my friends, they said, ஒண்ணு நிறைய books படிச்சிருக்கணும் இல்ல காதலிக்கணும்.. இதில ஒண்ணு கூட நான் பண்ணியது இல்ல.. thats why i was struggling to get words while writing and i took more than a month time.

Anyways, I am happy that i have written one kavithai.. :) :)

2010 - Recollecting Memories

My perception of LIFE is that its filled with a LOT of Questions and a FEW Answers. Throughout the life everyone is searching for the answers. And the answers gets refined and redefined by experience. The year 2010 refined some of my questions too..

I was at hyderabad for the first three months and the next month (April) I spent in hyderabad and bangalore. Months may to july was at home and the rest was spent at bangalore.

01-01-2010 began at bangalore. I got down from my train (Yeswanthpur Exp) in the morning at Yelahanka Railway Station and that was my first journey with people speaking the languages that I don't know. And later in this year I traveled alone so many times with people speaking other than tamil. It was my first visit (after Industrial Visit) to bangalore. And somehow with the help of printouts (bangalore city map and route to my destination - printouts are free at office. :D Otherwise who will take printouts of a route) I reached hebbal. In 20 mins dinesh came there to pick me up. There my journey of this year started in bike with dinesh..........

January:
In another 20 mins we reached his home at Marathalli. Aadhi (Pradeep) was also there in his home. So next three days was fun. We went to Isckon temple, Forum Mall and some more places.The next big thing happened in the month of january is that the first review of my final year project. After two months of time, met friends and we all went to Hotel Residency for midnight buffet. Since I was planned to go home, I started early than everyone else. Dinesh was coming along with me till the bus stop. He asked me “why are you starting this much early da?”. I don't know why he asked that question. And I didn't answer for that question and felt like missing something.
February:
GATE exam. I had my exam center at madurai. So I started two days before the exam from hyderabad. By that time I had my first earning from my internship, so I bought wrist watches for my parents. With no idea of higher studies I appeared in the exam. The next Big day of this year feb 14th.

March:
GATE Results. Vibhu called me a day before the results and asked me to check his marks too. The result was scheduled to publish at 10 am. But through some intermediate sites people have seen the results early on that day. I was not aware of that and was waiting for 10 am. Vibhu called me at 8 in the morning and told me my results. He congratulated me and asked to apply for IISc soon since there was two days left for the last date. The Surprise day-1 of the year.

April:
It is the month of the year for me. As I mentioned earlier I was in bangalore for half of this month. April 6th janani birthday. She invited me to her office (Intel). So I went there and had lunch with all my classmates working in Intel. Then I decided to come back to home. But janani insisted me to visit EGL Park. So with half a mind I went to EGL software park to meet other friends working in IBM and Netapp in the afternoon. Dinesh and Guru were accompanied(helped) me to visit Netapp because my attempt to get in resulted in m!ssed c@lls. Thanks to all these people who were spending time with me in their office time.
April 12, I was checking my application status of IISc at 10pm in the night before going to bed. I was surprised to see that I have got admission in IISc ( Surprise day-2 ). I checked my status after two days they published the results and they have given me the deadline of a week to confirm my admission by paying fees. In next two days after discussing with everyone, decided to join in IISc. And my next trip to bangalore started in a week.
Two days of work in bangalore office, paid my fees with my own stipend, final project submission at coimbatore, gift to patchi on his birthday, and a book to dinesh, and a lot more things happened in that week. To get the book for dinesh, I asked him to accompany me. So I left early from the office on that day, went to IISc (first time) to pay my fees and back to his office in the evening. Second time to EGL Park. I called him and told that I am waiting at the Pyramid. He said that he will come in 10-20 mins after finishing his work. He came in another 20 mins and we went to a book shop near by and bought book for him.

May:
Kerala trip. We planned for four days. Adhirapalli and Munnar was the highlight of the trip. Third day night at munnar was an unforgettable one. A small balcony where four (myself, aadhi, td and manesh) of us were talking till the midnight. Usually I am the one who will talk more among all these three people. But that day it happened to be in the other way. I was just listening to these three people and their discussions were refining my answers... And the next day we went for trekking in the mountains of munnar and it gave us a new experience. And the trip was ended after visting my home and guru's home.

The next big event in this month is my graduation. And I was ambivalent on that day. The next I went to ooty along with my parents. The first family trip in this year.

June, July:
I was at home in these months. On the birthday of dinesh and pradeep, we had a conference call for more than an hour time. Other than that I got my passport, driving license in these two months.

August:
Another family trip to Mysore. Joined in IISc. New environment, new friends. Fresher's party.

September:
A small get-together at chennai with frank, dinesh, aadhi, ranjith and kamal. I was there at chennai for three days. Mareena beach, Kottivakam beach, Sea diving, treat by cts guys and had good time.

October, November:
Assignments, Exams, Open book- open time exam, Full night for project, Gym-cafe,..
New Digital Camera, Diwali Celebration...

December:
Birthday Celebration – Prabha, Punya, Suresh, Madhav, Vj, Ravi and charan made my day. Gifts, Phone calls, Chat wishes, Messages from relatives, belated wishes,..

Final semester exams, OS Assignment, Semester holidays..
New year 2011 celebration @ chennai – 31st morning came to frank house @ chennai. That night celebrated new year @ besant nagar beach.

P.S: Aadhi(Pradeep) was with me on the start(1/1/10) and the end(31/12/10) days of this year.
No post in my blog this year.
And sorry for making this post to be long.
I was planning this post from the start of this year. But today only i was to able to start and I wanted to post it today itself. Because of this rush, there could be some flaws in the text, style,.. JUP ignore those flaws.. And i assure that i will not repeat it in my future posts.

Hope this 2011 gives more answers.......

Last Working Day

This evening though i was physically present @ my office, my mind was thinking about my last day @ college. The faces of her teammates really made me to recollect my last day college.

A lady employee from my office resigned today since she is gonna get married in few weeks. It was the last working day for her.

About a month ago, i had my last day college session. Three and half years of my college life was over.

The whole office came to her desk in the evening. It was a like meeting. Everyone was asked to share their experiences with her. "She is my best friend", " I didn't have much interaction with her", "She is good at PHP" and a lot many comments have been passed.

Everyone in our class was asked to share their experiences. "We should develop our alumni", "Enjoyed our hostel life", "Edhuvema urupdiya pannala college life-la", "Bunked college and went for movie" and a lot many comments from everyone.

Followed by that, there was a photo session. And her teammates ( a group of 5) presented her a gift. The gift was a necklace.

In the afternoon, photo session started. Batch mates, CAT guys, B-Blockers, Gamerz, Bikerz, Class Group photo - and a lot. And finally the day i left to hyderabad, my friends (B-Blockers) gave me a gift. And the gift was a keychain.

She wont forget this day, the gift, her teammates, synopsys,... etc.

I never forgot my last day college, the gift, my friends, PSG tech,.... etc.

I am Confused

Yeah I am Confused. Two things made me to be confused in the past few weeks. One is deciding my career life and the other one is about my personal life. Both together made me not to study & do well for my exams and to have sleepless nights.

After a long battle with the recruitment process of many companies, I have been selected into two organizations. The first offer is for internship at Hyderabad. So I started setting up all the arrangements on boarding to Hyderabad. In the mid way, I got the next offer. That is for Placement at Chennai. So here my confusion started. Which one to choose? Because first offer starts by Nov 23rd and comes to end by May 31st and the second one starts by May 1st (and training for 3 months before DOJ). So I have to choose any one. Since I am concerned with my placements, I chose the second offer. I know that this is a correct decision. But still my mind hangs around it. I don’t know why. I couldn’t figure out the reason yet.

Once I went to a shop nearby my college, I have seen a key-chain which attracted me a lot. I decided to buy it. But I don’t have that much amount of money that time. So I just left it free. Time passed on. But my mind clung on it. As time passes, one day my friend told me a fact: “Namaku pidichathu nammata irukardha vida namaku pidichavangalta iruntha nalla irukkum”. After hearing these words, I decided to present the key-chain. I prayed that the key-chain have never been bought by anyone so far. I rushed up to shop on the next day morning. My prayers were not resulted in vain. The key-chain was there in the shop and I bought it. Here confusion started. When to give it? How should i start? And a lot more questions in me. I could able to find answers only for a part (when -> before leaving the college) and still there are many questions unanswered. Together all unanswered questions made me to think whether to present it or not.This is the first time I am buying a gift. Somehow I took the decision to buy. But giving it is yet to be decided.

Trio - The Three People

I think u have guessed something about this post from the above picture. Yes, this post tells u about three people [Dinesh, Pradeep, Maha Ganesha (from right to left) – my college classmates] and their friendship. All are my personal opinions.

ü What is TRUE FRIENDSHIP?

ü Why it is?

ü Where did you see it?

ü Which makes it?

ü How strong it is?

ü When it works?

Answer for all the above questions from me is -> “The Three People”.

We are 68 in our class. But I don’t know how many of them really know about these three people and their friendship.

Before coming to college, they don’t know each other. In first year, Dinesh and Pradeep were in room no G-311 and Maha in G-328 (opposite to 311). 311 was the place where they united together. All they had a same frequency [Unfortunately mine is different from them – still I am feeling sad for that]. G-311 room was filled with their thoughts, memories. They shared everything among them. One doesn’t hide anything from others. At the same time, whatever happens that will be with them, nothing will be leaked out. I haven’t seen such kind of friendship ever. I was looking at it from far away. I was like a normal classmate for them at that time. Though I was with them, I haven’t felt anything about their friendship that time. Later (II Year) I came to know about their friendship.

Teasing people for fun is common in college days. In group of 10, if any one starts teasing a guy, all others will join. But here the case is different. Once I started teasing pradeep, dinesh and maha were silent that time. Others were joined with me (avvalu pasam paya pulliakalluku). Days were rolled. We went for a lot many trips and enjoyed a lot.

In all the trips, they will come with some plans and surely they will execute it. They always were together throughout the trip to finish off their plans.

Dinesh is good in his speech. “Sarkarai pesurathu”, “helping tendency” are the things admired me. Pradeep – A joker, comedy piece, scene party….. I love to talk with him. Among the three he is very close to me. Chinna china sandaigal niraya potrikum. Maha – silent person. He will be the initiator for all our discussions. Surukuam sollunaumna he is doing the job of “Narathar” (narayana narayana).

From the past three and half years, I learned a lot from them and they have been taught me a lot.. The final words are…..

Today morning 7 am, I was sleeping. "tin tin - tin tin" . I looked at my mobile. "1 Message Received" - it shows. I unlocked my mobile and saw the sms. It reads, " Count down: 7 more days of college life" - from my friend Vignesh. I kept the mobile away and amazed. How fast the time moves? really its moving faster and faster day by day. I closed my eyes and started recollecting all my college memories from day 1.

First day college, new place, new environment, new friends, new classes, new staff, everything was new to me.... but now, all are very familiar to me..

Interesting(TOC) , Boring (DCA)Lectures, Lab sessions (DS Lab, workshop), Seminars, Group Activities....

College day competitions(CHILL OUT, INTRAMS)... Inter college event - Kruzade...

Industrial visits (Ooty, Bangalore, Hyderabad - Snow world)...

Internship (Kalycito)...

Hostel -Discussions till night 2pm, Sharing things, Movies, Games, Birthday celebrations....

Bunking college and going for movies, Semester end trip to Vaalparai, Ooty, North - South tour...

and a lot..... all these things are gonna end...

Its 7.30...

Oh its getting late.. have to attend the last day colleges.. (While going to bed yesterday, i thought of bunking today's class. but this countdown message and my college memories changed me to enjoy the remaining coll life...) I got ready and went to college with a lot more energy..

4 pm...

One day is over.. remaining 6 days.. i laid down on my bed and started refreshing my memories and planned some new things to enjoy the remaining days..
